Miao Qing’s treating experience of chronic cough in view of Shaoyang
This article introduces chief physician Miao Qing’s treating experience of chronic cough in view of Shaoyang. Chief physician Miao Qing thinks that Xieyu Shaoyang, obstruction of cardinalate, the failure of lung to depress and descend as one of the important pathogenesis of chronic cough, and according to the pathological evolution of Shaoyang meridians Shaoyang cough can be divided into four aspects, which include:deficiency of Qi-blood, Xielian Shaoyang; Shaoyang Yubo, lung qi impairment; Shaoyang Danyu, intermingled phlegm and qi; Qiyu Huahuo, invasion of lung by fire. The patients with Shaoyang cough should be treated with the method of reconciling Shaoyang, lung dispersing and cough stopping.
