Clinical study of warming needle moxibustion by thunder fire in treating knee osteoarthritis of wind-cold arthralgia syndrome
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of warming needle moxibustion by thunder fire on treating knee osteoarthritis with wind-cold arthralgia syndrome. Methods120 cases of knee osteoarthritis in wind-cold arthralgia syndrome were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, 60 cases for each group. Treatment group were treated with warming needle moxibustion by thunder fire, and control group received Glucosamine Hydrochloride Tablets. The therapeutic effect and levels of Visual analogue scale (VAS), Fairbank scores and Lysholm scores were detected respectively after 30 days treatment course. Results:The total effective rate was 93.33% in the treatment group, significantly higher than 66.67% in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of VAS were significantly lower (both P<0.05), while the levels of Fairbank scores and Lysholm scores were significantly higher (both P<0.05) in both groups after treatment, but the levels of VAS, Fairbank scores and Lysholm scores in the treatment group were better than the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion:Warming needle moxibustion by thunder fire can significantly reduce knee pain and improve knee function and alleviate the condition in knee osteoarthritis with wind-cold arthralgia syndrome.
