Clinical experience of National Medical Master Shi Yangshan’s “Prioritizing Qi, Blood First” theory in orthopedic trauma
This article introduces Professor Shi Yangshan’s theory of “Prioritizing Qi, Blood First” and its clinical application. “Prioritizing Qi” is considered a common guideline and “Blood First” is an alteration. “Prioritizing Qi” constitutes of the methods of tonifying Qi, regulating Qi, and tonifying the viscera of spleen and kidney, which is consistent throughout the length of therapy. “Blood First” consists of varied extent of activating blood and dissipating blood stasis, aiming to alleviate symptoms at early stages. 3 clinical cases are provided.
