This article introduces the clinical experience of Professor Huang Jigeng, who is a famous doctor of traditional chinese medicine(TCM), on treating phlegm cough from lung, spleen and kidney of TCM. Professor Huang thought that the insidious phlegm in the lungs and the dysfunction of lung, spleen and kidney are the primary pathogensis of respiratory diseases. On the basis of summarizing the theories of predecessors, Professor Huang innovated to use his distinctive theories through all the procedures of the treatments based on syndrome differentiation.
