Experimental study on treatment of fracture nonunion rats with tuina
Objective:To explore the mechanism of tuina for curing fracture nonunion Methods:40 SD rats were made of the right hind leg fracture nonunion models, then they were randomly divided into model group and tuina group, 20 in each group. The model group without treatment, while the tuina group was received the corresponding skills in 10 weeks continuous treatment. Rats in each group were respectively sacrificed for TNF-ɑ, IL-6 and collagen type I levels test at the third week and the tenth week. Right hind limb X-ray photos were given to all of the samples finally Results:The serum IL-6 and TNF-ɑ of the tuina group compared with the model group was significantly higher at the third week(P<0.05) and the collagen type I of the tuina group was also higher at the tenth week(P<0.05). The tuina group X-ray showed the fracture line was fuzzy, with varying degrees of callus growth, but the model group still kept nonunion Conclusion:Tuina could significantly improve the content of serum TNF-α and IL-6 at front stage(the third week), stimulate inflammation reaction to induce porosis; and at the late stage(the tenth week) tuina can promote the collagen type Ⅰ synthesis, accelerate bony callus growth and fracture healing.
