Chen Xiangjun’s experience with Sjogren’s syndrome by yin-enriching therapies
Professor Chen Xiang-jun thinks that the basic pathogenesis of Sjogren’s syndrome lies in qi-yin deficiency as the root cause and dryness-fire and stasis-toxin as the branch cause; and the therapeutic principle concentrates on enriching yin and moistening dryness. The specifi Methods: include producing body fluids to moisten dryness by sweat cold herbs, nourishing liver and kidney by salty cold herbs, replenishing spleen-qi to generate body fluids, supplementing yin fluids by acid sweat herbs, enriching and activating blood to produce body fluids, and purging fire to save stomach yin.
