This paper explores the key points of four diagnosti  Methods:. Inspecting patients’ eyes is the most important way of diagnosing depression syndrome. Listening to the reflected ideas and dispositions of patients’ words in the auscultation and olfaction is needed. Integration of auscultation and olfaction as well as inquiry should be built on the basic of trust between doctor and patient, we can pay more attention on the etiology of patients’ emotional hurts, past history, and natural endowment from the elementary to the profound. Palpation mainly refers to physical examination. Based on the four diagnosti  Methods: of TCM, we also need to combine with the laboratory tests, related scales, and other examinations to make a comprehensive analysis and judgment.
