Comparative analysis on three common TCM syndromes in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome ovarian blood flow parameters
Objective:To discusses the possible link between ovarian blood flow parameters of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome and TCM syndrome, which aims at providing a scientific basis for the syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine treatment of this disease Methods:There were 178 patients in this experiment with polycystic ovary syndrome diagnostic criteria of western medicine and can be classified into kidney deficiency type, phlegmy wet block type and qi stagnancy and blood stasis type on the criteria of Chinese medicine. Ovarian resistance index and pulse index were tested with method of ultrasonic measuring and the differences of different TCM syndrome were analyzed Results:There was significant difference in ovarian resistance index and pulse index between the three TCM syndromes(P<0.05), and the indexes of kidney deficiency type and phlegmy wet block type were higher than that of qi stagnancy and blood stasis type; there was no statistical significance between kidney deficiency type and phlegmy wet block type(P>0.05) Conclusion:There were certain relationships between ovarian blood flow parameters (ovarian resistance index and pulse index) of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome and TCM syndrome which can provide a scientific basis for the syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine treatment of this disease.
