Objective:This paper is to observe the curative effect of “Qingdai Guben Soup” combined with metronidazole in treating atrophic vaginitis with syndrome of yin deficiency and dampness-heat  Methods:60 patients diagnosed as atrophic vaginitis with yin deficiency and dampness-heat syndrome were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,30 in each group. The treatment group was given “Qingdai Guben Soup” and metronidazole, and control group was given metronidazole. The treatment course was 14 days. The clinical effect of the two groups, TCM symptoms, Vaginal cleaning degree and health score were observed. The recurrence rate of two the two groups in the following 3 months were compared  Results:① After treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 96.67%, while the control group was 83.33%, A significant difference was observed between two groups (P<0.05). ②Compared before and after the treatment, the difference of clinical symptoms of TCM in both groups were statistically significant (P<0.05); In addition, the changes of scores of TCM syndrome before and after treatment were different between the two groups (P<0.05).③Compared before and after the treatment, there was significant difference in the vaginal cleanliness and vaginal health score in each group(P<0.05); Compared before and after the treatment, there was significant difference in the vaginal cleanliness and vaginal health score between the two groups(P<0.05) ④ There was significant difference in the recurrence rate in the follow-up period between the two groups (P<0.05)  Conclusion:“Qingdai Guben Soup” combined with metronidazole has curative effect on atrophic vaginitis with yin deficiency and dampness-heat syndrome.
