Combination of “Huangqi Guizhi Huoluo Decoction” and rehabilitation training for the treatment of shoulder-hand syndrome after cerebral infarction
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of “Huangqi Guizhi Huoluo Decoction” and rehabilitation training in treating post cerebral infarction shoulder-hand syndrome Methods:One hundred and five cases with post cerebral infarction shoulder-hand syndrome were randomly divided into the control group (n=50) and the treatment group(n=55). Patients in the control group were treated with limb rehabilitation training; while patients in the treatment group were treated with “Huangqi Guizhi Huoluo Decoction” orally, with a course of 8 weeks. The clinical efficacy, VAS scores and Fugl-Meyer scores were investigated Results:The total effective rate was 90.9% in the treatment group and 74.0% in the control group, with a difference between the two groups(P<0.05). After treatment, the VAS score was reduced in the treatment group (P<0.05), and was lower than that of the control group significantly (P<0.05); the Fugl-Meyer scores were increased in both groups after treatment (P<0.05), and the Fugl-Meyer score of the treatment group was higher than that of the controls (P<0.05) Conclusion:Combined “Huangqi Guizhi Huoluo Decoction” and rehabilitation training is effective to relieve the symptoms pain etc., and improve functional activities of the limbs for the treatment of post cerebral infarction shoulder-hand syndrome.
