Clinical observation on combination of “Quzhi Xiaocuo Formula” and red light and blue light therapy for the treatment of acne vulgaris
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of “Quzhi Xiaocuo Formula” and red light and blue light therapy for acne vulgaris Methods:One hundred and forty-two cases with acne vulgaris were randomized into three groups:forty-seven cases in the light therapy group were treated with red light and blue light, 47 cases in the Chinese medicine group were treated with “Quzhi Xiaocuo Formula” orally, and forty-eight cases in the combination group were treated with red light and blue light therapy and “Quzhi Xiaocuo Formula”, with the course of 8 weeks. The clinical efficacy and scores of main symptoms were observed Results:The total effective rate was 91.7% in the combination group, 78.7% in the Chinese medicine group and 68.1% in the light therapy group. The clinical efficacy of the combination group was better than those of the Chinese medicine group and light therapy group (P<0.05), and the clinical efficacy of the Chinese medicine group was better than that of the light therapy group (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of clinical symptoms were reduced in the three groups (P<0.05); the symptom score of the combination group was lower than those of the other two groups (P<0.05), and the symptom score of the Chinese medicine group was lower than that of the light therapy group (P<0.05) Conclusion:Combined “Quzhi Xiaocuo Formula” and red and blue light therapy has certain positive effect on acne vulgaris.
