Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of “Qufeng Runzao Decoction” for the treatment of dry eye syndrome in young women  Methods:Sixty-two young women with dry eye syndrome were randomized into two groups:control group in which 30 cases were treated with Sodium hyaluronate eye drops, and treatment group in which 32 cases were treated with “Qufeng Runzao Decoction” additionally, with the course of 15 days. The clinical efficacy, break-up time (BUT) and lacrimal secretion were observed  Results:The total effective rate was 90.63% in the treatment group and 73.33% in the control group, with a difference between the two groups (P<0.01). After treatment, the BUT was prolonged and lacrimal secretion was increased in both groups (P<0.01), with a significant difference in lacrimal secretion between the two groups (P<0.05, P<0.01); the recurrence rate was 24.14% in the treatment group and 63.64% in the control group, with a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.01)  Conclusion:“Qufeng Runzao Decoction” has positive effect and low recurrence rate in young women with dry eye syndrome.
