Clinical observation on supplemented “Fuling Zexie Decoction” for the treatment of vertigo caused by posterior circulation ischemia of the phlegm turbidity obstructing the center pattern
Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of supplemented “Fuling Zexie Decoction” for the treatment of vertigo caused by posterior circulation ischemia of the phlegm turbidity obstructing the center pattern. Methods Eighty cases with vertigo caused by posterior circulation ischemia were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group, with 40 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with Ozagrel intravenously; in addition, the control group was treated with Nimodipine Tablets orally, and the treatment group was treated with supplemented “Fuling Zexie Decoction”, with the course of 10 days. Results: The total effective rate was 97.5% in the treatment group and 80.0% in the control group, with a difference between the two groups (P<0.01). After treatment, scores of the primary symptom were reduced in both groups (P<0.01), and scores in the treatment group were lower than that of the controls (P<0.01). Conclusion: Supplemented “Fuling Zexie Decoction” has positive clinical effect on vertigo caused by posterior circulation ischemia.
