Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of “Fufang Huoxue Liquids” (FFHXL) and mecobalamin treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN)  Methods: Seventy cases with DPN were randomized into treatment group and control group, with 35 cases in each group. Treatment group was treated with FFHXL and Mecobalamin Tablets, and the control group was treated with Mecobalamin Tablets, with the course of 8 weeks. The clinical efficacy and changes of peripheral nerve conduction velocity were observed  Results: The total effective rate was 88.24% in the treatment group and 45.71% in the control group; there was a significant difference in clinical efficacy between the two groups (P<0.05). After treatment, the conduction velocity of common peroneal nerve and sural nerve were accelerated (P<0.05, P<0.01), and the conduction velocity of sural nerve in the treatment group was faster than that of the control group (P<0.05)  Conclusion: Combined FFHXL and Mecobalamin Tablets can improve clinical efficacy and peripheral nerve conduction velocity for DPN.
