Needle knife lytic method on suboccipital muscles for the treatment of cervical vertigo:a randomized controlled trial
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of needle knife lytic method on suboccipital muscles in treating cervical vertigo Methods:One hundred and twenty cases with cervical vertigo were randomized into treatment group and control group, with 60 cases in each group. Control group was treated by conventional acupuncture treatment, and treatment group was treated by needle knife lytic method on suboccipital muscles, with the course of 20 days. The clinical efficacy, scores of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Dizziness Handicap Inventory (DHI) were observed Results:① The total effective rate was 88.33% in the treatment group and 65.00% in the control group, with a difference between the two groups (P<0.05). ② In both groups, there were significant differences in the scores of VAS and DHI between before and after treatment (P<0.05); after treatment, there were significant differences in the scores of VAS and DHI between the two groups, and treatment group was superior to the control group (P<0.05) Conclusion:Needle knife lytic method on suboccipital muscles can effectively relieve the symptoms of cervical vertigo.
