Combination of Nan's breath-regulating method and drug therapy for cancer complicated with hypertension
Objective: To evaluate the effect of Nan's breath-regulating method and drug therapy on blood pressure and psychology in patients who suffered from cancer and complicated with hypertension.Methods Fourteen cases with cancer and hypertension were recruited by self-contrast method.On the basis of conventional treatment, Nan's breath-regulating method was added for three months.The systolic pressure, diastolic pressure and SCL-90 score were observed.Results After treatment, the systolic pressure was reduced (P<0.05), and symptom scores of somatization, obsessive-compulsive, sensitive of interpersonal relationship, depression, anxiety, antagonistic feeling, horrible, and stubborn were reduced markedly (P<0.05).Conclusion Combined Nan's breath-regulating method and drug therapy is effective to lower the systolic pressure of patients with cancer and hypertension, and up-regulate their psychology.
